HourGlass Cosmetics Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm

This product has been trending everywhere for a while now. So, I finally purchased this product to see if it lives up to the hype. The glossy balm retails at Sephora and Ulta for $36 dollars USD.

The product comes in gold packaging and is retractable. You can move just a little product up at a time. This prevents bending or breaking while preserving the product.

Upon application, the product feels smooth, creamy, and hydrating to the lips. The balm is not sticky or greasy. Your lips look plumper A very minimal amount of the product is needed to achieve this.

The product is nicely tinted and leaves a noticeable amount of color. I used the color Slip which left the most beautiful color. Slip is a rosy mauve color. For a more dramatic look, use a lip liner and a second layer of the glossy balm.

This product is an Allure Best of Beauty Award winner for 2023. I am not surprised as this product lives up to the hype. This glossy balm is a staple in my beauty bag.

Ouai Hair Oil

Ouai Hair Oil is a great multitasking hair oil. Suitable for all hair types. Lightweight and buildable. Prevents breakage and smooths out frizz. The Holy Grail of hair oil.

This Ouai Hair oil uses their Rue St. Honore scent. The scent is a mix of violet, gardenia, ylang ylang and white musk. A heavenly mix of florals that will leave your hair smelling amazing.

I love to use it when blow drying my freshly washed hair. It leaves my long thick hair incredibly shiny. Even with my thick hair, a little goes a long way.

You can apply a couple of drops to wet or dry hair. Comb the oil through your strands and style. You can apply more as needed for thicker hair.

Rare Beauty Dewy Liquid Blush

Rare Beauty Dewy Liquid Blush, in Hope, is a warm-toned, medium pink liquid blush. The formula has a very fluid consistency and is lightweight. I found this blush very easy to work with. It has a lip gloss like applicator.

It glides on easily over foundation or bare skin. I was able to apply the blush very evenly and it blended well. The blush gives a dewy finish and has a very hydrating formula.

It feels almost weightless when applied. This hydrating formula gives you a good bit of time to blend out before it dries. The formula is highly pigmented. One drop goes a long way. The Rare Beauty Dewy Liquid Blush is definitely worth the buy.

Haus Labs Foundation

The Haus Labs foundation contains 20 plus nourishing ingredients like squalene and hylauronic acid. It also includes arnica to reduce redness. Who doesn’t love makeup that makes your skin look pretty while protecting and improving it?

There are so many shades to choose from for all skin colors and tones. I was able to find the perfect shade to blend seamlessly into my skin. I recommend going into the store to find your match.

The coverage is buildable. This foundation gives off a dewy finish that lasts all day. It leaves your skin slightly glowing. The end result, is the perfect amount of dewy without being too over the top.

The foundation glides on flawlessy with my beauty blender. I can get a medium coverage with a natural look. Haus Labs foundation has a weightless moisturizing feel.

This foundation is great for most if not all skin types. Especially for dry skin. You can find this product online or in stores at Sephora.

Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Eyeshadow

I recently received Kylie Cosmetics Matte liquid Eyeshadow complimentary of Influenster and Kylie Cosmetics. I recieved the shade, 2 Steps Ahead. This shade is a pretty rich brown with a subtle purple tint. The matte liquid eyeshadow comes in five shades.

When I tested the product, I dabbed a small amount onto a tray and took an eyeshadow brush and blended it out onto my eyelids. It was very easy to blend. The product has lots of pigment so its very buildable. A little goes a long way. It did not crease as promised and created a blurred matte look.

The 5 shades are all beautiful, but I hope more options are eventually released. The matte liquid eyeshadow does come at a reasonable pricepoint. This is definitely a product worth trying.

E.L.F. Halo Glow Blush Beauty Wand

I recieved the E.L.F. Halo Glow Blush Beauty Wand in Magic Hour from BzzAgent in exchange for an honest review. I was so excited to recieve this product because I already love many things E.L.F. has to offer.

All of the beauty wands contain 2% squalene and micro pearl pigments to hydrate and create a glow on the skin. They are blendable and buildable due to the silky formula. The cushion tip applicator helps to achieve this as well.

The blush does create a glow when applied to the tops of your cheekbones. Many claim that the blush wands, highlighting and contour wands are a great dupe for the Charlotte Tilsbury wands.

This is a product I would purchase again. I love the smooth formula and buildable color. A little goes a long way. I am excited to try the highlighting and countour wands as well. Ladies, do not sleep on this. Go out and get you one.

OUAI St. Barts Body Creme

I recieved this OUAI St. Barts body creme from Influenster and OUAI in exchange for my honest review. When I opened the jar of OUAI body creme, I was immediately whisked away to a tropical vacation. With notes of dragon fruit, orange blossom, tuberose and baltic amber, you are whisked away by a scent that is absolutely divine. At first, I thought that the coconut in the creme was overpowering, but when I put the creme on the coconut was subtle. What stood out were the notes of tuberose and orange blossom.

The body creme is very nourishing and hydrating to the skin without being too thick or greasy. The creme has capuaca butter to hydrate the skin along with coconut oil and squalane that nourishes the skin to leave it glowing. The creme is sulfate free, vegan, and cruelty free.

A little goes a long way and leaves your skin silky smooth. This body creme will give you a subtle glow. It will leave you feeling glowing, refreshed, and you will drift away to your favorite island.

Slip Sleep Mask

A while back, if you told me I needed a silk sleep mask, it would of been on the bottom of my list of things to purchase. Now, I am a firm believer in sleeping with silk. My silk sleep mask and silk pillowcases are not only comfy and cool, but neccessary to the health of my skin and hair.

For a while now, I have been getting eyelash extensions. I had purchased a contour sleep mask not made of silk to protect my lashes. I found the mask to be itchy and it felt rough on my skin. After learning, how silk would absorb less of my skincare products and help my skin retain its moisture, I began searching for a silk one.

After lots of research, I decided to purchase the Slip silk contour sleep mask. The contour allows the mask to not touch my eyes or lashes and the silk is so soft I hardly feel like I have anything on. The strap is comfortable and has enough give that it doesn’t crease my hair.

The sleep mask is pure silk inside and out, some are not. The patented slipsilk is made of the highest (6A) long fiber mulberry silk. The sleep mask has a thickness of 22 momme. The higher the momme, the better.

I also love that Slip uses non toxic dyes. The sleep masks come in an array of beautiful colors. I purchased the violet moon sleep mask that was on sale in a Beauty Sleep over set. The set included, 1 large moonflower slipsilk scrunchie and 1 black slipsilk skinny scrunchie along with the violet moon sleep mask. This was a limited edition set, but I was more than happy to use the slipsilk scrunchies on my long hair.

Ladies and gents, I do not ever see myself going back to a regular sleep mask. You cannot beat a high quality silk sleep mask. Invest in yourself and selfcare. You wont regret it.

Kylie Jenner Lip Kit

In 2015, the first Kylie Jenner Lip Kit was launched. Kylie Cosmetics has since expanded its brand into much more including skincare. I have to admit, I had yet to try the lip kit everyone raves about. I thought it may of been a bit overhyped until recently.

I purchased my first Kylie Jenner Matte Lip Kit in Posy. For a little over thirty dollars, you get the liquid matte lipgloss and a lip pencil to match. That is a decent price point considering many lipglosses are a little under or over that. Plus you have to usually buy the lip pencil seperate.

The instructions say to line your lips first then apply the lipgloss. The lip liner is soft and easy to apply. It did not smudge and feels nice on the lips. The matte lipgloss was also easy to apply. It went on smoothly and dried quickly. I immediately fell in love with the color Posy. Its a nice soft pinkish mauve.

Now, I do believe that the lip kits are not overhyped. They are at a decent price point. The product is good quality and the lip kits come in some beautiful shades.

Vegamour Gro Lash Serum

Vegamour Gro Lash Serum is a plant based serum with natural ingredients to help promote longer, thicker lashes. There is only one FDA approved lash serum, Latisse that many swear by. However, it has the potential of some very unwanted side effects along with general eye irritation and discomfort. Now there are many over the counter lash serums that are all the rage, but they too can cause these side effects. Unlike, Latisse though, these brands do not have to mention the potential side effects. A lot of the problem is caused by prostaglandins. Some, eye lash serums will list these way down the line in the ingredients.

Personally, risking my eye health did not outweigh the benefit of longer, fuller lashes. But, after a while of having eyelash extensions and coming across someone who did them improperly, I had brittle damaged lashes. I decided to take a break from lash extensions and get my lashes in better shape. Vegamour Gro Lash Serum, seemed to fit the bill of a lash serum I felt good about using. It does not contain prostaglandins or any of the nasty ingredients I wanted to avoid.

I am going on week three of use and my lashes seem stronger and thicker. I do not notice a huge difference in lash length but did not expect that from a natural lash serum. I am getting the results I expected. My lashes are being conditioned and repaired.

I use the lash serum twice daily. In the morning I apply at the lash line after cleansing. Then I let it dry before applying any makeup. At night, I do the same minus any makeup. There has been zero irritation around my eyes. I intend to continue to use this product even with lash extensions. If you want healthier, thicker lashes without the pesky side effects then I definitely recommend Vegamour Gro Lash Serum.

Nars Power Matte Lip Pigment


A rich red with warm undertones and a satin finish. Creamy and lightweight creating a flexible hold still resulting in a matte finish. It is formulated with a Power Pigment Complex that locks in and saturates lips with bold, comfortable color. 

Glides on smoothly and long lasting. You really only need one swipe to transfer on the lipstick for a smooth matte finish. Its available in 21 shades.

Something to note, is that from my experience, it is not completely transfer proof, but does last for hours. The lip pigment also does not feather around the mouth. It is Vegan and free of phtalaytes parabens, and formaldehyde. The Nars Powermatte lip pigment in Vain has quickly become my go to red.

Mac Clear Lipglass

Mac lipglass is a clear gloss that creates a glass like finish or a subtle sheen. The lipglass also conditions and smooths the lips. For all my clean beauty lovers, you can know that the lipglass is made without fragrance, oil formaldehyde, hydroquinone, triclosan, coal tar, and toluene.

The lipglass is beautiful worn on the lips alone or can be worn on top of your favorite lipstick for a high shine effect. This gloss will make your favorite shade of lipstick a higher intensity of color. The lipglass is very easy to apply and is long lasting. It lasts all day and keeps the color going with just one layer of lipstick.

I definitely recommend this lipglass, it lasts longer than a regular gloss and leaves your lips feeling hydrated. This product is extremely helpful as we go into winter, when many people get cracked, dry lips. This is a very high quality lipglass that will take your lips to the next level.

Nars Blush

Many have come to know and love this brand. I first fell in love with this brand when I tried their cult classic blush, orgasm. This glittery pink blush became a rotation in my makeup arsenal. One day I made my usual trip to Ulta to get another Nars blush in orgasm, and to my horror, they were not in stock that day. I decided to try, Nars deepthroat blush.

Quickly, I fell in love with this shade. It is a warm coral with a soft golden shimmer. The blush is a tad darker than orgasm. If you love shimmer, but want a more subtle shimmer then, this shade is for you.

Nars blushes are very buildable colors and go on very lightweight. You can wear the shade more subtly or amp it up for a warmer look. The blush will last all day.

This blush is priced about middle range, for prestige cosmetics. It is worth the investment because of the quality and longevity. I wear my Nars blush everyday and they last me close to six months. Nars blush lives up to the hype.

I recently acquired the Kate Spade Knott Rosy Garden embossed pebbled leather medium satchel. The Knott Rosy Garden collection is feminine yet chic with a modern flair. Kate Spade New York, now owned by Tapestry INC. have a fun friendly feel to their designs. They are feminine, but not over the top.

The majority of the bags are made from high quality leather and are known for being sturdy and practical. Everyone has come to love these stylish yet functional bags.

There are currently many A-list lovers of the brand from Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton, Mindy Kaling, and Taylor swift. They are a designer brand that has continued to appeal to many over the decades. The unique feminine style continues to honor the vision, values, and principles of the late Kate Spade.

Jupiter Balance Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner

I have long thick naturally curly hair. I get Brazillian Blowouts every three months. I was using a shampoo and conditioner that I love and still love. Yet, recently my scalp kept feeling itchy and irritated even after a fresh wash.

Now this does not happen to me a lot and I have a hunch that a lot of it is product buildup. I decided to do a little research. The most common causes of itchy scalp is seborrheic dermatitis. This is caused by an overgrowth of yeast on the scalp. For mild cases this can be treated with over the counter selenium and zinc pyrithione. So, I sought out to find a shampoo with one of these ingredients free of sulfates, parabens, and other nasty ingredients.

Jupiter Balancing Shampoo seemed to check all the boxes as it contains zinc pyrithione and lots of natural ingredients to help balance and remove buildup. The nourishing conditioner contains soothing ingredients like colloidal oatmeal to help calm the scalp.

I plan to use this shampoo for several washes before returning to my usual shampoo that does tame my hair a little better. Jupiter shampoo and conditioner did calm my scalp and drastically reduced the itching and irritation after one one wash. The zinc pyrithione in the shampoo combined with ingredients like colloidal oatmeal in the conditioner calmed my irritated scalp and reduced the itching by 95% after my first wash. This product is also great for all hair types.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

Nars radiant creamy concealer comes in 16 shades. It is a liquid concealer with buildable coverage. It provides full coverage, but it does not look flat on the skin. I was easily able to find a shade to match me perfectly.

The product has a nice creamy consistency, yet it is lightweight. You do not need too much product. The concealer can nicely be layered on top of foundation. It does provide enough coverage to be used as a light foundation as well.

After purchasing this cult classic, I can see why so many love it. I found it does not cake. I put it on in small dots and blend it with my beauty blender. The concealer covers any redness you might have. I am always on the hunt for a good concealer or foundation. This one may be my favorite concealer to date.

MAC Locked Kiss Ink

I recieved MAC Locked Kiss Ink in Bodacious from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. The lip color is a warm medium peach with a matte finish. It is lightweight and easy to spread. The lip color comes with ultra refined pigments that do provide buildable color.

The formula comes nutrient packed with passion fruit oil, coconut oil, and shea butter. The color says it lasts 24 hours. I did find myself reapplying before 24 hours as the color faded some. The lip ink is kiss proof. I can attest to that.

If you want a lighter shade only apply once and let the lip ink dry. However, I applied a couple of times, letting the lip ink dry between each application. It is a beautiful shade and is my new favorite nude.
